Sleep better — without light interruptions.

100% blackout blinds for bedrooms, shift workers, and light-sensitive sleepers.

TRUE BLACKOUT, BUILT PROPERLY

A darker room starts with a better blind system.

Artificial light exposure can affect sleep quality, recovery, mood and routine — especially in bedrooms where complete darkness matters most.

Traditional blinds often reduce light, but still leave gaps around the edges.

Midnight Anytime Blinds was designed to solve that problem properly.

Our blackout system is designed to help create a darker, calmer bedroom environment, morning or night.

Streetlights, early sunrises and uncovered gaps can all introduce unwanted light into your bedroom environment.

Reduce harsh sunlight entering through the edges of curtains and standard blinds before you’re ready to wake up.

Designed to help create a darker, more controlled room environment morning or night.

A darker room can help bedrooms feel quieter, more relaxing and less overstimulating at night.

Minimise visual distractions caused by neighbouring lights, passing traffic and outdoor brightness.

Ideal for shift workers, light sleepers and households managing changing schedules.

A darker bedroom environment can help support more consistent and uninterrupted rest.

Minimise brightness entering your room during sleep hours and early mornings.

Consistent light control helps create a more comfortable sleeping environment night after night.

I first got in touch with John, who clearly explained all the details and was extremely professional throughout. The blinds arrived after few weeks, and converting my existing blinds to motorised ones was incredibly easy. The rail quality is excellent, and everything works perfectly—no light coming through at all. He also provides aftercare service which I thought was good. Thanks again, John!

About us

Midnight Anytime Blinds was built around a simple belief: every home should have the ability to truly switch off.

After years in the window furnishings industry, we kept seeing the same problem. Traditional blockout blinds still allowed light to leak through the sides, leaving parents struggling with nap times, shift workers sleeping through daylight hours, and light-sensitive sleepers waking earlier than they wanted to.

People were taping windows, layering curtains and settling for products that never fully solved the issue.

So we engineered a better solution.

Midnight Anytime Blinds designs and manufactures patented blackout systems built to reduce light leakage and create darker, more controlled spaces for Australian homes. Proudly manufactured in South Australia and Western Australia, our systems combine custom-fit framing, motorised convenience and modern design into a blackout solution built for everyday living.

Today, Midnight Anytime Blinds operates across professional installation, DIY, wholesale and licensing channels, helping thousands of households create bedrooms, nurseries and living spaces that feel calmer, darker and more comfortable.

From one simple idea to a growing national brand, our focus remains the same:

Build blackout systems that genuinely improve how people sleep, rest and live.

Bedroom Blackout Blinds FAQs

We keep things simple so you can get the info you need quickly.

Are these really 100% blackout, or just “blockout” like normal blinds?

Yes — these are true 100% blackout blinds.

Unlike standard roller blinds that leave gaps around the edges, our system uses a fully enclosed frame with side channels and a sealed bottom rail, blocking light from every angle.
No gaps. No glow. No light leaks.

Because they’re not a roller blind.

A standard roller blind is just fabric on a tube — it doesn’t seal light.
Our system is a fully engineered blackout solution with:

  • Sealed side tracks
  • Enclosed top pelmet
  • Motorised operation
  • Custom fit to your window

You’re paying for performance, not just a covering.

Room darkening blinds reduce some light, while blackout systems are designed to mi Because cheaper options don’t solve the problem.

Most blinds:

  • Let light in around the edges
  • Require chains or manual operation
  • Look good, but don’t perform

This system is designed to completely eliminate light, improve sleep, and give full control — which is why people upgrade and never go back nimise light entering the room as much as possible — including around the edges.

Adelaide & Perth customers benefit from our Salisbury Plains & Bibra Lake facility with faster turnaround times, personalised service, and top-quality locally crafted blinds.

We specialise in fully framed motorised blackout blinds — our core product designed for complete light control.

We also offer:

  • Sheer/privacy blinds for daytime light and visibility
  • Dual systems (blackout + sheer in one window)
  • Standard roller blinds to match the rest of your home

All options are custom made to your exact window dimensions, with both DIY and installed solutions available.

If light is affecting your sleep, 100%.

These are specifically used by:

  • Shift workers
  • Parents with babies
  • Light sleepers

Because they create a completely dark environment, which is proven to improve sleep quality

A standard roller blind:

  • Sits in the window
  • Leaves gaps on all sides
  • Blocks light, but doesn’t eliminate it

Midnight Anytime Blinds:

  • Sit inside a sealed frame system
  • Use side channels + pelmet + bottom seal
  • Deliver true blackout

That’s the difference.

Because we’ve designed the product differently from the ground up.

Most traditional systems are built around manual operation first — which means extra components like cords, pulleys, spring-loaded mechanisms, and tension systems. Those parts add complexity, cost, and more points of failure over time.

We’ve taken a different approach.

Our system is designed to be motorised from the start, which allows us to:

  • Eliminate unnecessary moving parts
  • Simplify the overall mechanism
  • Reduce long-term maintenance issues

On top of that, we manufacture locally and control the full process, so we’re not adding layers of margin or costly upgrades.

So instead of charging extra for motorisation, we’ve built it into the product — resulting in a simpler, more reliable system at a more competitive price point.

Yes.

We offer a dual system inside one pelmet, meaning:

  • Sheer/privacy blind for daytime
  • Blackout blind for night

All within the same clean frame.

Yes, slightly — and it’s important to understand this.

The system sits inside your window and includes:

  • ~90mm top pelmet
  • Space for the fabric to drop (~3 finger width)
  • ~50mm bottom rail

So you will lose some visible window space, but this is what allows the system to fully block light

Yes.

For reveal fit:

  • Single blind: ~70mm depth
  • Dual blind: ~90mm depth

If you’re unsure, send us a photo and we’ll confirm.

No.

Our system is fully battery powered, wireless, and rechargeable — so there’s no electrician required.

The motor is charged via a simple USB cable and typically only needs charging once every change of season, depending on use.

If you prefer, we can also hardwire the system — but most customers choose the battery option for its simplicity and clean install.

Yes, to a degree.

While they’re designed for blackout, the sealed system also helps:

  • Reduce heat in summer
  • Retain warmth in winter

Creating a more stable indoor temperature.

Yes.

There are no cords or chains, making them a much safer option for homes with children and pets.

Yes.

For openings wider than 3 metres, we use multiple blinds side by side to cover the full span.

Because each blind sits within its own frame, there will be a vertical join (centre post) where the blinds meet.

You will need a minimum reveal of 90mm in your window frame.

Yes — in most cases.

You’ll need a minimum 90mm reveal in front of the sliding door for the system to fit properly.

In some setups, minor modification to the top frame (mullion) may be required to ensure the door can slide freely without contacting the blind.

If you’re unsure, just send us a photo of your door and we’ll confirm exactly what’s needed.
