Custom-cut to your numbers. No standard sizes.

Three measurements. Five minutes. Done.

Reveal depth, width, height — that’s it. Diagrams below show exactly where to measure for single blinds, dual blinds, and reveal-fit installs. If anything looks borderline, send us a photo and we’ll check before you order.

What you'll need

One or two pairs of hands

One person can do it. Two is easier for tall or wide windows.

Metal tape measure

Metal stays rigid. Cloth tapes flex and lie. Don’t use cloth.

Step ladder

For the top of the reveal. Don’t lean.

Pen + paper (or phone notes)

Record every number in millimetres. Label width and height clearly.

Step 1

Check your reveal depth

Before you measure width and height, confirm the window has room for the blind, pelmet and side tracks to sit inside the reveal. If it doesn’t, the rest of the measurements won’t matter.

Clearances

Step 2

Measure the width

Measure inside the reveal, side to side. Take three measurements: top, middle, bottom. Note the smallest of the three. The top is the most important — that’s where the blind sits — but the other two tell us whether the reveal is square.

If the three measurements differ by more than 10 mm, let us know before ordering. A reveal that’s out of square usually still works, but it needs a quick check.

Step 3

Measure the height

Measure inside the reveal, top to bottom. Three measurements: left, centre, right. Send us all three — we’ll use the longest to make sure your side tracks don’t come up short.

Not sure? Send us a photo and your numbers.

Borderline reveals, awkward obstructions, unusual frames — we look at these every day. Upload a wide photo of the window plus your three measurements and we’ll come back to you during business hours.

Or email straight to support@midnightanytimeblinds.com.au with the same details.

Hints from people who measure for a living

01

Label every measurement with width or height as soon as you write it down. Don’t trust yourself to remember.

02
Send us exactly what your tape reads. We do all the small deductions for hardware on our end.
03
For reveal-fit blinds, the fabric ends up slightly narrower than your measurement — that’s the side tracks doing their job.
04
For face-fit blinds, we make to your exact number. If there’s a wall, tile or trim within 30 mm of the frame, ask us first.
05
For face-fit blinds, we make to your exact number. If there’s a wall, tile or trim within 30 mm of the frame, ask us first.
06
If you’re unsure at any point, stop and send a photo. We’d rather check now than re-make later.

Take the printed guide to the window

PDF with all three steps and the diagrams. Print it or open it on your phone next to the tape.

Common questions

What if my three width measurements aren't equal?
Note the smallest. The top is the most important — that’s where the blind sits. If the three differ by more than 10 mm, tell us before ordering — the reveal is out of square and we’ll need to check.
Millimetres only. Every MAB system is custom-cut to mm.
Send us the photo + your three measurements through the form above (or email support@). We’ll check before you order. Custom kits are made to your exact numbers, so it’s better to confirm than re-make.
Reveal fit is the standard MAB system — the frame sits inside the window opening. For face fit (where the frame mounts to the wall around the window), we make to your exact number. If you’ve got a wall, tile or trim within 30 mm of the frame, check with us first.

Measured up? Let's configure your kit.

Frame colour, fabric, motor — three picks, then your measurements. The configurator gives you an exact price.
